Lavender Grow Info - PRUNING

Prune your plant in the fall back to 1/3 of it's size to form a giant ball or shape into a sphere.  Just don't cut too heavily into the central woody part of the plant. This will enable a good fresh flush of wands in the Spring.  Always remove any old stalks left on the bush after Summer blooming.

Fresh Bouquets
*pick blossoms when 1/4 to 1/2 of the flowers are open
Sachets/Bbuds
*pick when 75% to 100% of the stalk is flowered
Dry Lavender Wands
*cutting bundle stems-cut 100 to 120 in a bundle
 and wrap with a rubber band, hand upside down with a paper clip
 undone into a "S" shape. Dry your bundles in a warm dark place for a week or two
 (a fan strategically placed excels the drying process.)
