This lavender is an English lavender and will bloom the earliest. Munstead is prized by chefs for its intense sweet flavor and deep purple color. It is used in a variety of dishes. The foliage is super fragrant even when not in bloom. This herb has 12-14 inch flower spikes and is a bit larger than Hidcote. Again, a good herb for fresh and dried bouquets. One of our favorites!!!
